The Narrative would like to thank our dedicated reporter, Brian K. Young, for his ongoing coverage in St. Louis. Most recently, he recorded incumbent U.S. Congressman Wesley Bell’s acceptance speech from last night’s primary.

For the second consecutive year, Mr. Bell has succeeded in keeping progressive Democrat Cori Bush out of her former seat. He will now represent the Democrats in the upcoming November general election.
While opponents have raised concerns over Bell’s growing support from AIPAC, that is not the focus of this story. I want to express my appreciation to Brian K. Young for his support of Wesley Bell. Hopefully, future discussions will address issues in North City and the potential merger of the city and county. These two candidates exchanged sharp rhetoric, but I heard little about the revival of downtown St. Louis, resources for tornado victims, ongoing crime issues, or potential mergers.
In any case, best of luck to Wesley Bell, who appears to be a strong favorite to win in November.
