Embark on an unforgettable cruise to the stunning shores of Alaska and Canada. Explore majestic mountains, breathtaking landscapes, and natural wonders along this exciting journey.

I don’t think I will be taking a cruise anytime soon, and definitely not to Alaska, but maybe Canada. My dear friend Andrea took me on a magical journey with her embarkment of Alaska to Canada, during her cruise with her family.

Yes, she has offered numerous times for me to join in on the fun. Apart from my own personal journeys on shore, I probably would not have wanted to go anyway. I love the waters, but my mental can’t fathom being out on the waters for too long.

Nonetheless, I am so delighted that she is having a wonderful time, and took out the short moment to snap these exciting images. I am always looking for travel stories, and this footage did not disappoint. Enjoy the information and if you want to take a trip there is also a booking link attached.

Thank you again Andrea, and I hope for a safe return and my coffee mug from Alaska in tow.

Endicott Arm Fjord

Endicott Arm Fjord is one of Alaska’s most spectacular natural wonders, located about 50 miles southeast of Juneau. Carved by glaciers over thousands of years, this 30-mile-long fjord is surrounded by towering granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and floating icebergs. At its end lies the magnificent Dawes Glacier, where visitors often witness dramatic ice calving. The fjord is also home to seals, bald eagles, mountain goats, bears, and humpback whales.

Skagway, Alaska

Skagway is a historic Gold Rush town located at the northern end of the Inside Passage. During the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897-1898, thousands of prospectors passed through its streets on their way to the Yukon. Today, the town preserves its colorful frontier history with restored buildings, museums, and the famous White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, offering breathtaking mountain views. Despite having fewer than 1,200 year-round residents, Skagway welcomes hundreds of thousands of cruise visitors each summer.

Juneau, Alaska

Juneau, Alaska’s capital city, is uniquely accessible only by air or sea, making it one of the few U.S. state capitals without road access. Nestled between towering mountains and the Gastineau Channel, Juneau is known for its stunning scenery, outdoor adventures, and rich Native Alaskan heritage. Popular attractions include the Mendenhall Glacier, whale watching, hiking, and fishing. The city serves as Alaska’s center for state government while maintaining the charm of a small coastal community.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Known as the “Salmon Capital of the World,” Ketchikan is one of the first ports of call for many cruise ships entering Alaska’s Inside Passage. The city is famous for its vibrant fishing industry, colorful waterfront, and rich Native Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian cultures. Visitors enjoy exploring historic Creek Street, viewing one of the world’s largest collections of totem poles, and shopping for locally made Native art. Surrounded by lush rainforest and dramatic mountains, Ketchikan receives abundant rainfall, contributing to its breathtaking scenery and thriving wildlife.
